"PANA Enabling IPsec based Access Control", Mohan Parthasarathy, 14-Jul-05. ( bytes)
- PANA (Protocol for carrying Authentication for Network Access) is a
protocol for authenticating clients to the access network using IP
based protocols. The PANA protocol authenticates the client and also
establishes a PANA security association between the PANA client and
PANA authentication agent at the end of a successful authentication.
This document discusses the details for establishing an IPsec
security association using the PANA security association for enabling
IPsec based access control.

"State Machines for Protocol for Carrying Authentication for Network Access (PANA)", Victor Fajardo, Yoshihiro Ohba, Rafa Lopez, 22-Oct-08. ( bytes)
- This document defines the conceptual state machines for the Protocol
for Carrying Authentication for Network Access (PANA). The state
machines consist of the PANA Client (PaC) state machine and the PANA
Authentication Agent (PAA) state machine. The two state machines
show how PANA can interface with the EAP state machines. The state
machines and associated model are informative only. Implementations
may achieve the same results using different methods.
-
"Pre-authentication Support for PANA", Yoshihiro Ohba, 24-Oct-08. ( bytes)
- This document defines an extension to the Protocol for carrying
Authentication for Network Access (PANA) for proactively establishing
a PANA SA (Security Association) between a PaC in one access network
and a PAA in another access network to which the PaC may move. The
proposed method operates across multiple administrative domains.
-
"Application of PANA framework to DSL networks", Lionel Moreland, Alper Yegin, Yoshihiro Ohba, John Kaippallimalil, 4-Nov-08. ( bytes)
- This document provides guidelines for PANA deployment over DSL access
networks. The document specifically describes the introduction of
PANA in DSL networks migrating from a traditional PPP access model to
a pure IP-based access environment.
